Snazzy Ft. Totten Overhaul Goes to a Vote Tonight

The D.C. Zoning Commission is expected to cast a preliminary vote tonight on the fate of an ambitious plan to revamp the Fort Totten area. The Art Place and Shops at Fort Totten, a 2-million-square-foot development proposal, has already won over  WaPo’s Editorial Board.

And, considering that it will be anchored into the neighborhood’s Red Line Metro station, this “transit-focused” plan deserves high marks for environmental sustainability.
